When I was a boy my family moved around alot. No, my parents weren't in the military. My Dad was in Industrial Sales and he was very good at his job. He was offered jobs and promotions and as a result we moved from Ohio, to California, to Missouri and then to Michigan. That is were I got off the ride. I entered college just before parents moved to Texas, where they stayed.
Before each move I can remember my mother trying to help us to deal with the change we were facing, and the scary unknown of a new place to live and go to school, with the words "new adventure". She would tell us we were starting a new adventure and that it would be exciting. Positive spins to put us in a positive frame of mind. Even today when I'm faced with a big change in my life, I find myself looking at the change as a new adventure. That's what getting married and having children were - new adventures. That's what leaving my career and heading to seminary was - a new adventure. That's what placing myself in the call process and then receiving a new call to ministry was when I left Emanuel Lutheran to serve at Zion Lutheran. That's what starting this company is - a new adventure.
However, in creating this company, I believe this is the most radical thing I've ever done. I have created a company that can develop a mobile app for smartphones and tablets on a couple different platforms, in the hope that those mobile apps will facilitate the growth of the Christian church by equiping believers with faith building resources, and by providing an easy, non-threatening way for members to share their faith and their church with non-believers. I find this all very exciting and I pray that with God's blessing, wemakisolutions, LLC can do just that in today's mobile technology world.
In this blog I hope to share my joys and frustations and hopes for accomplishing this mission for Christ's sake. I hope you will join us in this journey and see where God takes us. I have felt like Abraham on several occassions in my life, but even more so with the creation of this company. Now, time to finalize my presentation for the St. Marys OH Rotary.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
