    Pastor William E. Maki

I read a very good article (Best Upcoming Smartphones: The future phones of 2018) from the web-site www.pocket-lint.com, dated 5 October 2017. It was authored by Chris Hall and Britta O'Boyle. It included the picture to the left taken by Evan Blass.

The article examined seven smartphones that will be coming available soon.

    - Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro

    - HTC U11 Mini

    - Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+

    - Next Sony Xperia

    - Apple iPhone X

    - Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL

    - Motorola Moto X4

The Huawei Mate 10 will be the most powerful smartphone they have ever made. Both the Mate 10 and 10 Pro are thought to have facial recognition software. It is believed that they both will have a metal frame.

The HTC Ocean Life/U11 Mini is expected to have a mid-range handset with nice features like: 5.2 inch full HD display, 16 megapixel camers front and back, a 660 Snapdragon processer as well as several others. It is rumored to be an Android One phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ is rumored to have Infinity Display and the talk is a Snapdragon 845 processor. The phone is expected to be released in April 2018.

The Next Sony Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact and XA1, are thought to have a new smartphone design and they are thought to be introduced at the MWC 2018.

The Apple iPhone X will have an AMOLED display from edge to edge. Sophisticated Cameras and Facial recognition (there is no Home button).

The Google Pixel 2 and 2XL will utilize the Snapdragon 835 platform. Both phones offer IP67 waterproofing and metal bodies. The 2XL will havea  higher resolution than the 2.

The Motorola Moto X4 will have an aluminium frame and 3D contoured glass body. It will use the Snapdragon 630 processor, Android Nougat, and three personal assistants: Alexa, Google Assistant and the Moto Voice. It has been released for sale.

I recommend you read the entire article published at www.pocket-lint.com.
